 Child Care Options

  • Limited child care will be available through a privately contracted service; Professional Childcare Provider Network of Prince George’s County. Arlene Ennis directs the network of special needs child care providers in the DC area. Providers are licensed providers, have undergone background checks, and are trained in first aid and CPR.
    • Rates: $12 per hour for the first child, $14 per hour for 2 children, $15 per hour for 3 children, etc. For multiple children in the same family it is a flat rate based upon the number of children. Example: For 3 children you would pay $15 per hour, not $45.00.
    • Advance registration is required.
    • Childcare does not include food. A lunch break for the children will occur at the same time as the parent lunch break.
    • Childcare providers can either be contracted for an individual child, or you can sign up for a group class. Group classes will be held in smaller private sections of the hotel ballroom (near where the parents will be meeting). Rates are the same for the individual vs group option. Groups will range in age from approximately 0-3, 4-8, 9-13, and 14-18. Group classes will consist of art, dance, toys, movies, walks, etc. depending upon the age and ability of the children.
    • Individual childcare options can be designed with the contracted provider.

Hotel Accommodations: If possible, please book hotel rooms through the negotiated conference rate with the hotel. Ask for the DUPLICATION CARES RATE. Room holds and contracts were designed based upon your survey feedback. Thank you for your support!

Duplication Cares has negotiated a discount rate for all Duplication Cares conference participants. The discounted room rate is $129.00 per night, regardless of occupancy, and is available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. If you need the rate extended before or after the conference dates, please ask the reservation agent, or call the hotel directly.

Ticketing Information

All conference participants entering the hotel ballroom for conference sessions will need a conference ticket. Tickets should be purchased in advance and will be available for pick up at the conference registration table outside of the hotel ballroom. For families who have childcare situations requiring one parent to stay with a child and another parent to attend a conference session, families will be allowed to purchase one ticket and exchange it with another adult in order to accommodate childcare if families do not want to purchased multiple tickets.

Conference tickets are NOT required for the Capitol tour event. However, you must pre-register for the event in order to be included as one of the 165 members on the guest roster. Space is limited. Registration for the Capitol tour will open at the end of January.
